Hair Treasure
Grab some bobby pins, glue, and little treasures from around your home and get creative!
These decorated bobby pins are a great way to help your every day hair look a little more special!
You can glue just about anything you want to onto a bobby pin, but I chose to show how to make a cute little bow out of ribbon. I like the simplicity of it and think its a sweet touch added to your spring wardrobe.
(1)cut ribbon apprx 2 1/2 inches long (2)add drop of glue to centre of ribbon (3)bring outer ends of ribbon to the centre and press down onto the glue
(4)cut another piece of ribbon long enough to wrap around centre of your previous piece (5)drop a little glue onto centre of ribbon (6)glue end of ribbon onto center (7)wrap ribbon completely around the middle and secure with a little more glue
(8)after centre wrap is secure, glue a bobby pin to the back of the bow and you're ready to try out your new accessories!

Simple and Sweet
Here is a super easy and super quick hair idea for you on those days you don't feel like putting the work into wearing your hair down! Adding a cute headband to your outfit can make it look like you put in some good effort that morning:)
First you'll need a stretchy headband, a few bobby pins and a comb...
First you'll need a stretchy headband, a few bobby pins and a comb...
Back comb your hair. Doesn't have to be perfect. You just want to add a little volume and cushion for your bobby pins.
Gently smooth the top of your hair with a brush or comb
Place your headband on your head. Make sure it's a stretchy one that wraps around your entire head. Secure your headband with a bobby pin in the back if you like.
Place your headband on your head. Make sure it's a stretchy one that wraps around your entire head. Secure your headband with a bobby pin in the back if you like.
Back comb from where the headband starts to the ends of your hair for added texture and volume. Next, grab the entire side section of your hair.
Tuck the section of hair into the headband slightly pulling the headband from
your head. Secure with a bobby pin.
Repeat the previous step with the hair at the back. You are more than halfway done!
Repeat the same steps with the remaining hair. Pin to secure and add a dose of hairspray. You can make this look
as polished or as messy as you like. It will look great either way!

Pearls and Lace
Here is some work I did not too long ago. This was a
really fun shoot for me. I wanted something really
romantic and monochromatic...
I love anything monochromatic! It has a
subtle softness to it that I find beautiful.
I also love the use of tone on tone colors.
Different variations of color that are in the same
family of tones. This creates a soft contrast
giving the hair dimension and interest
that can be
as dramatic or subtle as you like.
I had the pleasure of working with a very talented
photographer, Sacha Andrew who has an
amazing eye for beauty
and fashion.
I also worked with Svea Leigh, a make up artist
who can make anything
happen!
And 3 gorgeous models; Kristina, Mariah
and Amelia. All who were amazing to work
with and made the shoot
come together!
